The Atlas de la Vacunación COVID-19 en Guatemala (COVID-19 Vaccination Atlas in Guatemala) is a project developed by the Laboratorio de Datos GT as part of the research on Inequality and Vaccines, in collaboration with OXFAM and Vaccines for the People in Latin America.
The goal of the Atlas is to provide a public access tool that shares the systematization and analysis of vaccine deployment in the country, utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) methodologies.
I played a crucial role in developing the visual identity of the Atlas, as well as designing the web platform hosting over 450 detailed maps illustrating the impact of the pandemic in the country. The main challenge in creating the website was ensuring a functional organization for the user experience, facilitating navigation, and presenting information attractively to visitors. As a result, the visual system of the Atlas was expanded through a series of illustrations that complement the project's narrative, while simultaneously implementing a social media content strategy to enhance the dissemination of the initiative developed by the Laboratorio de Datos GT.
